NADD Announces Deployment of NADD API, Expanding Institutional Access to Blockchain-Native Payment and Settlement Infrastructure
The NADD API provides a secure programmable interface for approved partners to integrate with NADD payment, wallet, settlement, reconciliation, and ledger-backed transaction infrastructure.
OSHAKATI, Namibia — June 4, 2026 — Namibia Digital Dollar (NADD) today announced the successful deployment of the NADD API, a programmable payment and settlement interface designed to support secure integration between NADD infrastructure and approved banks, payment service providers, digital wallets, merchant platforms, exchanges, treasury systems, developers, and enterprise applications.
The deployment marks a major infrastructure milestone for NADD, extending its capabilities beyond user-facing access channels and enabling machine-to-machine payment initiation, wallet validation, transaction processing, ledger posting, settlement traceability, reconciliation, and webhook-based integration workflows.
The NADD API is designed to provide authorized partners with controlled access to NADD payment infrastructure through authenticated API requests, cryptographic request signatures, idempotency safeguards, transaction limits, risk controls, reserve verification, double-entry ledger processing, and audit-ready transaction records.
“The deployment of the NADD API is an important step in turning NADD into programmable financial infrastructure. Secure APIs are how modern financial institutions, platforms, and payment networks connect. NADD API gives approved partners a structured way to integrate with NADD payment and settlement capabilities while preserving the controls, auditability, and discipline expected from serious financial infrastructure.”
— Simon Kapenda, Creator of NADD
Designed for Institutional and Enterprise Integration
NADD API provides secure, programmable access to NADD payment and settlement infrastructure for financial institutions, payment service providers, digital wallets, merchant platforms, exchanges, treasury operations, and enterprise applications seeking to connect with blockchain-native digital payment rails.
The API supports use cases including wallet-to-wallet payments, merchant settlement, platform payments, treasury operations, internal settlement workflows, transaction status tracking, reconciliation records, and webhook-based event notifications.
Operational Controls and Deployment Validation
NADD API has been deployed with a control stack designed to support secure payment execution and operational resilience. During deployment testing, the system successfully processed controlled production transactions while validating key payment-infrastructure protections.
- API key authentication and partner-level access control
- HMAC request signature validation
- Timestamp validation to prevent stale request replay
- Idempotency controls to prevent duplicate payment posting
- Wallet validation and insufficient-balance protection
- Velocity limits and transaction-limit enforcement
- Risk screening and policy-based transaction controls
- Reserve verification and reserve-backed payment enforcement
- Double-entry ledger posting with debit, credit, and revenue entries
- Transaction state history and audit-ready processing records
- Concurrency protection against simultaneous duplicate requests
The deployment validation included successful end-to-end payment execution, duplicate-request prevention, insufficient-balance rejection, invalid-wallet rejection, velocity-limit blocking, under-collateralized reserve blocking, and concurrent request protection.
Ledger-First Payment Architecture
NADD API uses a ledger-first architecture in which payment execution is supported by transaction journals, ledger batches, debit and credit ledger entries, revenue allocation records, state-history tracking, and idempotency records. This design supports traceability, reconciliation, and institutional review of transaction activity.
Each completed API payment is designed to create a structured transaction reference, ledger batch reference, payment instruction reference, and corresponding ledger entries that can support reconciliation and operational reporting.
Sandbox, Documentation, and Partner Access
Public NADD API documentation is available at https://nadd.io/api. Sandbox documentation and onboarding information is available at https://nadd.io/api/sandbox.
API credentials, sandbox access, and production access are issued through approved onboarding processes. Institutional onboarding may include business verification, technical review, security review, IP allowlisting, webhook configuration, testing confirmation, and production approval.
Production API Environment
The production API base URL is https://api.admin.nadd.io/nadd-api. This URL is intended for machine-to-machine API requests and is not a public browser landing page. Public documentation is provided separately through the NADD website.
Regulatory-Conscious Positioning
NADD is not a central bank digital currency, is not legal tender, and is not issued or guaranteed by any central bank. NADD API is a privately developed digital payment and settlement interface intended to support authorized integrations, wallet interaction, merchant use cases, and digital settlement participation subject to applicable terms, compliance requirements, supported jurisdictions, and partner approval.
The deployment of the NADD API forms part of NADD’s broader roadmap to build practical, accessible, auditable, and interoperable digital payment infrastructure for individuals, merchants, institutions, developers, and enterprise platforms.
“Financial infrastructure must be more than a user interface. It must be secure, programmable, auditable, and capable of connecting with other systems. NADD API gives the ecosystem a foundation for deeper integrations with merchants, platforms, payment providers, and institutional partners.”
— Simon Kapenda, Creator of NADD
