Is NADD a stablecoin?
Yes. NADD is a blockchain-native stablecoin representing the value of the Namibian Dollar (NAD) on-chain on a 1-to-1 basis, where 1 NADD represents 1 NAD in value. Unlike volatile digital assets whose prices may fluctuate based on market demand, NADD is structured to maintain price stability through its 1-to-1 relationship with NAD and a 100% reserve-backed framework, enabling digital transfer, settlement, and payment functionality through blockchain infrastructure.
What are NADD tokens?
NADD tokens are blockchain-based digital assets representing the value of the Namibian Dollar (NAD) on-chain. NADD tokens can be transferred across blockchain infrastructure like other digital assets while maintaining price stability through a 1-to-1 peg with the Namibian Dollar (i.e., 1 NADD = 1 NAD) within a 100% reserve-backed framework.
Is NADD a digital currency?
NADD is a blockchain-native digital asset representing the value of the Namibian Dollar (NAD) on open blockchain infrastructure. Unlike digital assets that may experience significant price fluctuations, NADD maintains a 1-to-1 value relationship with the Namibian Dollar (i.e., 1 NADD = 1 NAD) within a 100% reserve-backed framework. NADD enables the digital representation, transfer, and settlement of NAD value through blockchain infrastructure, supporting real-world digital payments, financial services, and cross-border payment innovation. NADD is not legal tender and does not replace the Namibian Dollar.
How is NADD different from other stablecoins?
NADD shares characteristics with other fiat-pegged stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, ZARP, ZARU, cNGN, and nTZS, which are structured to maintain stable values relative to government-issued fiat currencies. The key distinction is that NADD specifically represents the value of the Namibian Dollar (NAD) on-chain, providing a blockchain-native digital representation of NAD value. NADD is focused on practical digital payments, settlement, digital asset interoperability, and financial infrastructure use cases within Namibia and across African markets, including accessible payment infrastructure through NADD Pay.
What is NADD built for?
NADD is built for digital payments, merchant settlement, digital transfers, cross-border value transfer, infrastructure interoperability, digital asset conversion, and programmable financial workflows, enabling users and businesses to transact with a blockchain-native representation of Namibian Dollar value through secure and transparent digital infrastructure.
What blockchain does NADD use?
NADD is deployed on blockchain infrastructure designed to support secure, efficient, and scalable digital payments and settlement. NADD currently operates on BNB Smart Chain as a BEP-20 token, leveraging the network's transaction capacity, relatively low transaction costs, interoperability, and broad accessibility within the global blockchain ecosystem.
Can the NADD supply be checked on-chain?
Yes. NADD's token supply can be queried directly from its deployed smart contract, while token transfers and other publicly recorded on-chain activity can be independently reviewed through blockchain infrastructure and compatible blockchain explorers.
Is NADD only for crypto users?
No. NADD is built for broader real-world accessibility beyond traditional crypto users. The ecosystem includes pathways for mainstream digital payments, merchant use, custodial access, WhatsApp-native access through NADD Pay, and USSD-based service models, enabling users to interact with NADD through familiar digital channels without requiring advanced blockchain knowledge.
What is NADD Pay?
NADD Pay is a WhatsApp-native digital payment platform that provides users with accessible interaction with the NADD ecosystem through WhatsApp. Users can send, receive, buy, convert, and transact with NADD through the platform. NADD Pay also supports NADD-to-USDT interoperability and connectivity with supported external payment ecosystems, including M-Pesa payout functionality in supported markets.
What are NADD Pay QR Payments?
NADD Pay QR Payments provide a QR-based payment interface within the NADD Pay WhatsApp ecosystem. Users can create or display a reusable personal QR, generate a single-use payment request for a specific NADD amount, scan supported NADD Pay QR codes, review the intended recipient and payment details, and authorize the payment through their own NADD Pay PIN. Approved businesses may also use supported Business QR payment flows for NADD payment acceptance.
Does scanning a NADD Pay QR automatically authorize a payment?
No. A NADD Pay QR code identifies an intended recipient, approved business, or payment request, but it does not authorize the movement of funds by itself. After the QR is scanned, NADD Pay resolves the secure payment reference and presents the relevant recipient and payment information for review. The payer must expressly continue with the payment flow and enter their own PIN before an authorized transaction can proceed.
Can businesses accept NADD through QR Payments?
Yes. Approved businesses can use supported NADD Pay Business QR functionality to receive NADD payments through QR-based payment flows. A business may display a reusable Business QR or generate a supported payment request for a specific amount. The customer remains responsible for reviewing the business and payment details and authorizing the transaction with their own PIN before funds can move. Business QR functionality remains subject to applicable NADD Pay account, transaction, operational, and compliance controls.
Does NADD support cross-border digital settlement?
Yes. NADD supports cross-border digital settlement use cases through blockchain-native infrastructure, including NADD-to-USDT interoperability and connectivity with supported payment ecosystems. NADD Pay provides an accessible WhatsApp-native interface for digital value transfer, while NADD can also be transferred directly through supported on-chain infrastructure. Availability of specific settlement and payout capabilities may depend on the applicable jurisdiction, supported corridor, integration, and regulatory requirements.
Does NADD Pay support M-Pesa payouts?
Yes. NADD Pay supports M-Pesa payout connectivity in supported markets, including Kenya, providing an interoperability pathway between NADD's blockchain-native infrastructure and established mobile-money payment channels. Availability is subject to supported corridors, operational requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Does NADD support USDT interoperability?
Yes. NADD Pay supports interoperability between NADD and USDT, enabling supported conversion and digital settlement workflows between the NAD-referenced NADD stablecoin ecosystem and USDT-based digital asset infrastructure. This functionality supports broader digital asset connectivity and cross-border settlement use cases within the NADD ecosystem.

How are NADD reserves subject to independent verification?
NADD's reserve framework provides for independent reserve verification, including periodic attestations and reserve audits by reputable independent auditors. These verification processes are intended to provide independent assurance that NADD issuance remains supported by the reserves maintained under the published reserve framework, including traditional currency reserves and eligible cash-equivalent assets.
Is NADD compliant with Namibia's regulatory frameworks?
NADD is developed with a strong focus on transparency, responsible innovation, and alignment with Namibia's evolving digital asset and financial regulatory environment.

NADD is not legal tender and does not replace the Namibian Dollar (NAD). It is a privately developed blockchain-native digital asset representing NAD value on-chain and supporting digital payments, settlement, and financial infrastructure applications.
Where can institutions review the project?
Institutions, regulators, partners, developers, and other stakeholders can review NADD through its publicly available technical repository, whitepapers, governance materials, reserve framework, policy documentation, smart contract information, technical documentation, disclosures, and other supporting materials published through NADD's official digital infrastructure.
